We are looking for an Acoustic Consultant to join a reputable acoustic consultancy located in Derbyshire. The consultancy boasts a robust 30-year history and has a team of expert consultants specialising in noise, vibration, and sound insulation testing. They work on a diverse range of projects, which encompass both residential and commercial properties.
The main responsibilities of the Acoustic Consultant include conducting onsite surveys, performing detailed calculations, and using dispersion modelling software. The main objective is to provide actionable recommendations to clients on how to address any issues identified during the tests. Additionally, the consultant will prepare a technical report that outlines all key issues and the methods to resolve them.

The main requirements for the Acoustic Consultant role include a BSc or MSc in Acoustical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics. Candidates with an IOA diploma will have an advantage. Previous experience in acoustics, specifically conducting noise and sound insulation testing, is essential. Familiarity with modelling software such as ODEON or CadNA is also required. Additionally, candidates must hold a full UK driver's licence and be able to commute to various sites across Derbyshire and the surrounding counties.
