HR Advisor - 5 months contract

Why You'll Love This Role:

As an HR Advisor, you'll be a crucial part of the onsite HR team, managing high-volume ER casework and ensuring the fair and consistent application of policies and procedures. You'll be the first point of contact for any HR and ER issues, making a real difference in the workplace.

What You'll Do:

  • Support the HR Business Partner: Provide proactive support on a range of employee relations issues.
  • Guide Employees: Offer efficient service and advice on company policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
  • Create a Positive ER Approach: Support, coach, and upskill managers to fulfil their people management responsibilities.
  • Operational Support: Advise on disciplinary, grievance, appeals, and redundancy consultation processes.
  • Manage Absence: Assist with resolving problematic cases and long-term sickness issues, monitoring KPIs and trends.
  • Handle ER Case Load: Manage allocated employee relations cases effectively.
  • Support Organisational Change: Assist departments through organisational changes and embed new structures and processes.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: Proven track record in a similar ER/HR role within a fast-paced and dynamic retail or logistics environment.
  • Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation, including GDPR.
  • Skills: Resilient, flexible, assertive, and confident in approach. Excellent stakeholder, people, and change management skills. Good analytical and systems skills.
  • Mindset: Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines. Problem-solving ability in a fast-paced business.
