Description
A successful General Manager will need to:
- Oversee all logistics operations within the warehousing and distribution department
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders within the industry
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Manage budgets and P&L
- Lead and inspire a high-performing team
- Monitor performance metrics and implement necessary improvements
- Collaborate with other departments to align strategies and goals
Profile
A successful General Manager should have:
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the warehousing & distribution industry
- A background managing operations in fast-paced fulfilment environments
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire a team
- Excellent strategic planning and problem-solving abilities
- A solid understanding of health and safety regulations in logistics
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skill
- A background in Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain
- The ablitiy to commute to S. Derbyshire daily.
