Relief/Interim School Caretaker

Position: Relief/Interim School CaretakerLocation: South Yorkshire Pay Rate: £13-£15 per hour

We are seeking dedicated and reliable Relief/Interim School Caretakers to join our team, working across a variety of schools in South Yorkshire. This role offers both long and short-term placements, providing a unique opportunity to gain diverse experience in different educational settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of school premises.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Ensure the security of the school buildings and grounds.
  • Assist with setting up and taking down equipment for school events.
  • Respond to any emergencies or urgent issues that arise during shifts.

Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid driving licence.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service is essential.
  • Willingness to work split shifts.
  • Flexibility to work across different schools and adapt to varying schedules.

As a relief or interim caretaker, you will provide temporary cover for regular caretakers who may be absent due to illness, holidays, or other reasons. You will work on an as-needed basis, which can include both short-term and long-term placements across various locations. This flexibility allows you to gain experience in multiple settings and adapt to different environments, making it a dynamic and varied role.
