Description
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans for IT systems and services.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee contract negotiations, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
- Collaborate with the IT department to understand and cater to their procurement needs.
- Ensure supply chain processes adhere to budget constraints.
- Monitor market trends to identify potential opportunities and challenges.
- Lead a team of procurement professionals, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Report on procurement performance metrics and suggest improvements.
Profile
A successful Senior Category Manager should have:
- A degree in Business, IT, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a procurement and supply chain management role, preferably within the transport & distribution industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and understanding of contract management.
- Excellent knowledge of IT procurement and supply chain processes.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and other IT systems.
