Job description:

  • We are seeking a person centred, professionally qualified and HCPC registered Occupational Therapist for a 37 hour per week contract based in Swadlincote covering the South of the County. This will be for 3 months initially but may extend to 6 months We have an experienced management team who are committed to good support, advice, supervision, and a nurturing team ethos.
  • You will have opportunities to work across a variety of areas including safeguarding, complex health needs, moving and handling, learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge, duty team responses, assistive technology, hospital liaison, housing and major adaptations among others.

Essential:

  • Have knowledge and/or experience of working within a person centred, holistic and strengths-based way.
  • Have knowledge and/or experience in assessing a person’s activities of daily living.
  • Have knowledge and/or experience of physical, learning disabilities and/or mental health conditions and the impact on occupational performance.
  • Have knowledge and/or experience of equipment and adaptation solutions, and experience of DFG provision.
