We are working in partnership with a large Secondary School in Derbyshire close to Sheffield who are looking to appoint an experienced Maths Teacher on a full time long term basis. The appointed candidate will be responsible for teaching Key Stage 3, and some Key Stage 4.

You will be working within a Secondary School with deep rooted history, a wholly collaborative teaching and leadership team, and the opportunity to work with students who deeply care about their education, excel academically and behave in line with expectations in the classroom. Students are respectful, polite, and grateful of the learning experiences this school affords.

The job:* The school is looking for someone who is passionate about Maths, to provide the very best opportunity for students across the school.* In this exciting role, you will contribute to the strategic direction of your subject development across Key Stage 3, and take responsibility of the curriculum.* You will be responsible for the full planning and preparation of your lessons, including the design of a scheme of work and direction for the department.* To provide outstanding teaching for learning which meets the needs of all students.* To support the school raising standards of teaching and learning across the department and in monitoring progress towards agreed aims.* To provide specialist subject expertise to assist departmental staff, as appropriate.* To support the school in the implementation of agreed whole school policies and initiatives.

The successful candidate will:* Hold a teaching qualification (QTS) Specialising in Secondary Mathematics.* Hold a degree or equivalent.* Have outstanding teaching practice.* Have experience of implementing a range of strategies to raise student achievement, with evidence of success.* Contribution to impact on the quality of learning and teaching and curriculum.* A proven track record of excellent results at both GCSE and A-Level.* Have experience of high-quality pupil tracking and feedback practices.
