If you are passionate about helping others and are looking to develop your career in support work, this is the role for you!Nacro are recruiting within their East Midlands team on a temporary, long-term basis to appoint a new Senior Support Worker to support their service users on a shift rota basis, working 35 hours a week between 8:00-22:00.Your new role
This role is based in the East Midlands, Derby and Leicestershire. You will be supporting and guiding teams in the matters of practice, quality, performance, compliance and resource management while carrying a caseload of complex need service users.
You will line manage support workers as needed, supporting targeted failing services and deputising for service leads. Co-ordinate and deliver service improvement plans for a service or group of services, working in collaboration with the Quality team and Service Leads. Support in the co-ordination of service audits
You will act as a peripatetic senior operational lead working across services, providing direct input and support on practice, performance, or quality matters. Work with the Quality and Safeguarding Team on the development and implementation of procedures and toolkits relating to working with service users who require higher levels of support.
All of Nacro's properties are required to meet the Decent Homes Standard and to do that you will need good attention to detail to ensure that houses are clean, tidy and all repairs are reported and actioned. You will do this by liaising with the Housing Management and Performance teams to monitor service performance and agree on the implementation and reporting of any improvement actions.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be required to have a passion for supporting and helping others, and a minimum of two years' experience within a Social Housing setting. In addition to this, you will need to be able to demonstrate resilience, emotional intelligence, teamwork and prioritisation skills.
Due to the nature of the role, it requires drivers who have access to their own vehicle with business insurance.
What you'll get in return
This role is a long-term temporary position with the opportunity to apply for permanent roles in the future. You will also receive weekly pay at a rate of £14.66 per hour + holiday pay (£16.43).
