Elevation Recruitment Group - Procurement & Supply Chain division, are delighted to once again be partnered with Forged Solutions Group, with the search and selection of a Head of Supply Chain, for their Darley Dale manufacturing operation.

Job Summary:

The Head of Supply Chain, Darley Dale is responsible for leading the supply chain operations and ensuring strategic alignment with company goals. This is a senior role, sitting as part of the Site Leadership team, and plays a critical role shaping the supply chain strategy, optimising processes, and ensuring the seamless delivery of raw materials and finished products.

Key Objectives of the Role:

  • Take overall responsibility for the Supply Chain and Logistics department, to ensure the team is performing at a high level
  • Develop and implement a robust supply chain strategy that aligns with the company’s strategic objectives and industry demands. Analyse market trends and adapt strategies to mitigate risks and capitalise on opportunities
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage strategic partnerships with raw material suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Manage supplier performance against agreed scorecard metrics, standards and producing standardised reports for the senior managers
  • Oversee all aspects of supply chain operations, including raw material procurement, logistics, inventory management, and compliance. Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance operational efficiency
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supply chain professionals. Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the team
  • Collaborate closely with the Production, Quality, Technical, Finance and Commercial departments to forecast demand and ensure product availability

The Ideal candidate:

  • Sophisticated planning and control experience at a leadership level
  • Previous leadership over management is crucial
  • Strategic and Analytical thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively across multiple departments
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems
  • A demonstrated career background within the Aerospace manufacturing sector

Remuneration & package:
