Our client based in Chesterfield is recruiting for a Plater Welder or strong structural steel Fabricator Welder to join their team on a permanent basis. This company manufactures components and products for the structural steel industry and is mainly bespoke work offering a big variety in what they can offer. The work is all mild steel from 3mm - 40mm gauges. They can offer lots of overtime at the moment if that's something you are looking for.

Job Description - Plater / Fabricator Welder

  • Company manufacture products for the structural steel industry
  • This role will be all workshop based
  • Welding and fabricating heavy gauge steel work
  • Taking the jobs from start to finish
  • Working predominantly with mild steel
  • 3mm - 40mm gauges

Essential skills - Plater / Fabricator Welder

  • Ideally be apprentice trained in fabrication or plating
  • Must be able to fabricate from scratch and take the job from start to finish
  • Able to use fabrication machinery including presses, pillar drills and guillotines
  • Able to mark out own work
  • Confident measuring, cutting and forming metal
  • Competent working from complex engineering drawings

Package - Plater / Fabricator Welder

  • Up to £31,200 per annum
  • Day shifts Monday - Friday 6am - 2:30pm Monday - Friday
  • Ample overtime available all paid at premium
  • On-site parking
