As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 (KS1), Key Stage 2 (KS2), and EYFS (Reception).
- Assisting the class teacher in delivering the National Curriculum.
- Working 1:1 or in small groups to provide tailored interventions.
- Encouraging the social and emotional development of pupils.
- Ensuring a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
- Liaising with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support individual needs.
To excel in this SEN Teaching Assistant role, you will need:
- A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in childcare or a related field.
- Experience working in a primary school or TA role within a UK school.
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum and the ability to support pupils across KS1, KS2, and Reception/EYFS.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to promoting a work-life balance while meeting the needs of pupils with SEN.
