An accomplished Project Engineer is needed to effectively lead and oversee various engineering projects within the industrial industry, based in the West Coast of Scotland. The ideal candidate will be skilled in project management, capable of ensuring the successful execution of projects, from initiation to closure.

Description

  • Manage and oversee engineering projects from inception to completion.
  • Liaise with the Operations team when scoping new projects to ensure that all design information is provided in line with project budgets/timescales, promoting innovation & compliance.
  • Manage tender submissions for all subcontract/ supplier & plant and materials purchase aspects of a project & in ensure procurement targets for the project are achieved.
  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks.
  • Effectively communicate project status to relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement project strategies.
  • Continually assess project performance and implement improvements as necessary.

Profile

A successful Project Engineer should have:

  • Degree in Engineering Project Management/Mechanical or Electrical Engineering/Chemical Engineering.
  • Proven experience in project management within the industrial / manufacturing industry.
  • Allocates/delegates work based on an assessment of task complexity & personal capabilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Full Driving Licence (ideally clean) and access to own vehicle as travel will be required to other sites.
