We are currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative for a reputable organisation in Ayr. This is a temporary to permanent position offering a start date of December 1st. As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of the facility, ensuring the safe handling of goods and maintaining high levels of accuracy in your work.
Skills:
- Operate both Counterbalance and Reach Trucks safely and efficiently
- Perform picking, packing, and management of incoming goods
- Conduct product sampling and labelling as needed
- Use Excel for basic data entry and tracking purposes
- Adhere to punctuality and strong timekeeping standards
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience
- Valid Counterbalance and Reach Truck licences are mandatory
- Basic Excel skills and attention to detail

The role is based in Ayr and offers regular working hours from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with winter hours from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The pay rate is £11.44 per hour, and there is potential for a permanent position with the organisation after the temporary assignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate both Counterbalance and Reach Trucks safely and efficiently to ensure smooth warehouse operations
- Carry out picking, packing, and management of incoming goods with a keen eye for detail
- Conduct product sampling and labelling as needed to maintain quality control standards
- Utilise Excel for basic data entry and tracking purposes to support inventory management
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to punctuality and maintain high standards of timekeeping
To be considered for this role, candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience and hold valid Counterbalance and Reach Truck licences. Basic Excel skills and attention to detail are also essential for this position.
