ATA is proud to partner with a leading global manufacturing group who are looking to expand their team with an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer. This is a rare opportunity, with the first vacancy in nearly 5 years. The company operates across 25 countries and boasts an annual turnover exceeding £10 billion, establishing themselves as a dominant force in their industry. This role will primarily focus on maintaining equipment within the injection moulding department, so prior experience in this area is advantageous, but not essential.
About the Role
As a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be working in a fast-paced, high-demand production environment. Your responsibilities will include maintaining PLC-controlled equipment, robotics, and injection moulding machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance using the CMMS system.
- Respond swiftly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
- Perform fault-finding using methods such as multimeters, PLCs, and technical drawings.
- Lead machine upgrades, refurbishments, and new machine installations.
- Contribute to improving overall plant reliability.
About You
Working within a small engineering team, you must be able to handle tasks across both electrical and mechanical systems. It’s important you can work independently to manage electrical maintenance tasks as required.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Knowledge and experience with pneumatic systems.
- Strong understanding of PLC systems and fault-finding techniques.
- Apprentice-trained with a recognised Level 3 engineering qualification.
- Flexibility to work overtime when needed.
While the company is open to engineers from all manufacturing backgrounds, they are particularly keen to speak to candidates with experience in plastic injection moulding backgrounds.
