Experienced and qualified Paint Technician required on a contract position between 3 – 6 months based in Kenilworth paying £28.76 per hour (Umbrella PAYE) on a day shift with free parking available onsite. .

We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Paint Technicianto join their team, working on prestige, private and confidential, bespoke cars. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of ever-growing companies where quality supersedes speed and perfection is top of the list.

This company are a lead in the automotive industry producing prestige and high valued motor vehicles who strive to push the boundaries of innovation and set the benchmark for achieving excellence and high standards.

The role will require you to use a broad range of paint and finishing skills including preparation, spray painting, tinting, and colouring.

The ideal person will be experienced in using water-based systems and competent in spraying techniques on a variety of materials.

Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of panels
  • Colour matching and mixing.
  • Using various spraying techniques
  • Application of basecoats, primers, lacquers, and finishes
  • Blending of paint
  • Blow ins and smart repairs.
  • Flattening and polishing using specialist methods
  • Experience of working with a variety of systems including.
    • Solid and two-pack
    • Metallics
    • Pearlescent
    • Matte finishes
    • Special colours
    • Experience of working with prototype and high-end cars is desirable.
    • Working to strict health and safety standards using the required PPE
    • Working in a clean and tidy work manner

The Ideal Technician:

  • A City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in an automotive/body discipline completed as part of an apprenticeship is required.
  • At least 3 years high-end bodywork experience
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge and practical understanding of H&S, C.O.S.H. H, and environmental procedures
  • Flexibility in working hours and location as per business needs.

WORKING HOURS:

37 hours per week on a day shift (Overtime as per business needs, this is not guaranteed)

Pay Rate: £28.76 per hour to be paid via Umbrella PAYE model.

A flexible attitude towards working hours is essential.

Please Note: This role is Inside of IR35. Limited Company contractors will not be considered.

 

The final Umbrella pay rate offered is inclusive of, Hourly pay rate, Holiday pay and Apex Recruitment’s contribution to the payroll administrator’s deductions.
