Shift pattern (day and night):

Day Shift: Week 1: 6:30am – 6:30pm - Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat & Sun (Wed & Thur off) Week 2: 6am – 6pm Wed & Thu (Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat & Sun off)

Night Shift: Week 3: 6:30pm – 6:30am - Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat & Sun (Wed & Thur off) Week 4: 6pm – 6am Wed & Thu (Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat & Sun off)

As a Shift Supervisor at Imerys, you will get further training and qualifications. You will become an appointed 8.1(d) allowing you to progress in your career and get involved in other parts of the business.

The job role: You will maintain and improve the standards of ISO: 2000:9001 and ISO:14001 Supervising the production personnel within the defined area, ensuring that effective working relationships are developed and maintained, being responsible for, but not limited to the following;  

  • Diagnose of engineering problems, which require the intervention of fitters and call on the appropriate back-up service.
  • Provide 8.1.d cover under the Quarry Regs 1999. 
  • Produce the required tonnes fit for use for product. 
  • Operate the process at optimum cost. 
  • Service and carry out basic or routine repairs to equipment to minimise breakdowns or downtime.
  • Produce and distribute Production reports as requested, ensuring that up to date and accurate process and statutory documentation and records are kept. 
  • Participate in the development of new products and technologies.
  • To identify further opportunity for rationalisation of process operations and potential cost reductions. 
  • Attend quality, EHS and production meetings if required, reporting on any relevant production issues and responding on any action items in a timely manner. 
  • Record operating data and obtain information from computer systems to provide process control feedback and production record keeping.

You will: Our team are hardworking and fun loving so you’ll need to bring your motivation, drive, and enthusiasm. In addition, you’ll have: 

  • The ability to lead and motivate, teams and individuals.
  • Ability to communicate with all site personnel.
  • Ability to supervise and delegate.
  • Good standard of IT skills, numeracy & literacy. 
  • Valid Driving Licence. 
  • Significant and proven competence in: The processing of Kaolin (ideally) or similar processing 
  • Pits operations within the mineral extractive industry (ideally).
  • Managing teams within a shift working environment. 
  • Ideally have worked in a similar industrial environment. 
  • Possess Health, safety, and environmental knowledge.
