We are delighted to be working on behalf of a recognised innovator in the field of manufacturing and engineering, specialising in the design, development, testing and manufacture of integrated protective systems.

Role:

The Test and Validation Engineer role in Melksham, reporting to the Respiratory Technical Manager, involves developing, managing, and executing test and validation plans for both new and existing products within the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with Senior Design Engineers to verify and validate products using both analytical and physical tests.
  • Managing test facilities, including equipment maintenance, calibration, and user training.
  • Supporting new product introduction and quality assurance for production units.
  • Creating and executing test plans, procedures, and design validation documents.
  • Designing and configuring test equipment, performing competitor product analysis, and conducting physical tests.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of these standards.
  • Preparing documentation throughout the design process and communicating with stakeholders, including approval bodies and suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Education: Minimum HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Skills: Experience in Respiratory Protective Equipment testing, practical product testing, test documentation, and report writing. Knowledge of PC-based word processing and spreadsheets, and structured working under pressure.
  • Desirable Skills: Familiarity with MINITAB statistical software and SolidWorks CAD Suite.
  • Experience: Previous work in development and validation with bespoke testing methods.
