This organisation operates in different locations across the UK and North America specialising in engineering and manufacturing equipment.If you're passionate about making a difference and thrive in an environment that values solving challenges, trying new ways of doing things and collaboration across the team to deliver this could be a great opportunity for you.Your new roleThis a part-time, hybrid role working 18-20 hours per week in Melksham.The main responsibility for this role is to work with managers and ensure they are carrying out their responsibilities to their employees appropriately. Education and support to the managers is vital.Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Managers resolve employee issues and resolve employee relation issues.
  • Facilitate ongoing recruitment with the support of the HR Administrator.
  • With input from the HR Admin, ensure onboarding activities are arranged, completed and tracked accordingly.
  • Issue new hires relevant benefit information and action enrolment when requested .
  • Support with Learning and Development activities, e.g. booking training courses, ensuring feedback is gathered.
  • Responsible for ensuring leavers are processed in a timely manner.
  • Train and develop the HR Administrator
  • Support the Payroll process as and when required.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous HR experience.
  • A working knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proactive attitude towards HR work.
  • The ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • A willingness to learn - in particular with a Continuous Improvement mindset
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
