The Company

A leading global supplier of braking systems and other safety-critical systems for rail and commercial vehicles. Being one of the most prominent companies in the rail and automotive sectors, providing advanced technology solutions for braking, doors, and other systems essential for the operation of trains, metros, and other forms of rail transport.

The Role

The role will report directly into the Production Logistics Manager, where they will be responsible for the production planning and material control of dedicated product lines.

Main responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain production plans over a fixed horizon ensuring demand is smoothed consistent with capacity and material restraints.
  • Liaise with Customer Services to ensure customer requirements are planned correctly.
  • Ensure that customer priority orders are planned and processed correctly throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Hold regular reviews of plans in conjunction with the production management team.
  • Updating SAP production orders daily to ensure planning data is accurate.
  • Understand material risks working with procurement to achieve best possible outcomes.
  • Proactively lead continuous improvement projects to improve production system efficiencies.

Essential skills:

  • Excellent working knowledge of SAP or similar systems, accompanied with a comprehensive understanding of MRP.
  • Ability to understand and evaluate data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.

Working Hours

37 hours per week Monday to Friday.
