Abatec has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, freelance Quantity Surveyor in the Wiltshire area for an ongoing highways project.
Our client, a leading tier-one contractor, requires a candidate with previous experience in a similar role, having worked on civil engineering & highways projects under NEC suite of Contracts.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be:
- Responsible for commercial activities associated with highway works
- Assist in the management of subcontractor accounts, including assessment of applications for payment and issuing of payment notices
- Producing and analysing cost and value reports against forecast in conjunction with the Managing Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager
- Assist in the preparation of EWNs and CEs as required by the Managing Quantity Surveyor
- Undertake site visits and measures
Our client requires a Quantity Surveyor with:
- Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying
- Experience working for a Civil Engineering contractor.
- Excellent communication skills.
- NEC Experience
Salary and benefits include:
- 450 - 500 per day
