Summary

We are delighted to be working on behalf of a recognised innovator in the field of manufacturing and engineering,
specialising in the design, development, testing and manufacture of integrated protective systems. They are seeking a Technician to join their Materials Laboratory.

Role:

The role involves mixing, molding, and testing rubber and other polymer-based materials, supporting both team and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mixing or Molding rubber and polymer materials.
  • Operate rheology instruments and conduct physical property testing.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, manage workflows, and handle customer liaison.
  • Ensure quality standards, manage lab stocks, and comply with safety regulations.

Personal Specifications:

  • Methodical with strong attention to detail.
  • Inquisitive and proactive, with good time management skills.
  • Able to handle chemicals safely and work well in a small team.

Desirable:

  • Degree in STEM (preferably chemistry) or relevant lab experience.
  • Familiarity with rubber materials and industry knowledge.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Minimum C1 level English proficiency.
