Management Accountant – Financial Services

About the Role:As Management Accountant, you’ll be at the heart of the finance function, helping to drive performance through accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and meaningful business partnering. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded individual to play a key role in shaping financial strategy and supporting continued growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
- Analyse variances against budget/forecast, offering clear commentary and recommendations
- Monitor costs, identify efficiency opportunities, and support cost-saving initiatives
- Lead elements of budgeting and forecasting alongside department heads
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure financial targets are understood and met
- Present key financial insights to senior management and contribute to strategic decisions
- Support audit processes and ensure compliance with relevant standards
- Assist with ad hoc projects, offering financial expertise across the business
Requirements:
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified or part-qualified
- Experience in a Management Accountant role, ideally within financial services
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and commercial awareness
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with accounting software packages
- Confident communicator, able to simplify complex data for varied audiences
- Detail-oriented, with strong organisational and problem-solving skills
