Macildowie Finance are working with a well-respected and well-known Leicestershire based manufacturing business to recruit for an Assistant Commercial Accountant role on a permanent basis.

This role will be a key business partner to the commercial team, operating an integral position linking the finance team with the wider business including the operational teams.

This business operates on a hybrid basis, with generally 3 days per week required in the office.

Some of the responsibilities include:

Involvement in daily / weekly reporting to sales and margin
Overseeing preparation of product costings, ensuring accuracy of product costs
Business partnering with the commercial and operational teams
Maintenance and tracking of margins

The ideal candidate will be/have:

Ideally Part Qualified/working towards a professional qualification
At least 2 years' working within finance, with understanding of key finance elements
Commercially astute, with the ability to 'ask the questions' to link the commercial dots
Confidence to communicate across different types of stakeholders
