Our client is a food manufacturer who produce a wide range of Artisan baked products and are currently looking to recruit a Baker to join their team on a permanent basis.
As a baker you will be preparing and bake baked goods, such as bread, cakes, and cookies within a manufacturing operation.
On a day to day basis you will:
- Prepare ingredients:Measure, weigh, and combine ingredients using mixers and blenders
- Prepare dough:Knead, roll, cut, and shape dough
- Prepare baking sheets:Fill pans, molds, or baking sheets with dough
- Bake:Set the oven temperature and place the baked goods in the oven
- Decorate:Use icing, glazes, fillings, and decorations to enhance the presentation of the baked goods
- Test:Test the ingredients and finished goods to ensure quality and food safety
- Display:Display the baked goods
- Maintain cleanliness:Keep the work environment clean and organized
- Process orders:Process customer orders efficiently and carefully
- Greet customers:Greet customers and answer their questions
Ideal candidates will have previous bakery experience ideal with breaded products however we would also consider anyone who has worked within a Food Manufacturing environment who would like to learn to be a baker. Food Hygiene and HACCP knowledge are essential for this permanent role with eth ability to work as part of a small team.
