Our client is seeking a driven Process Development Scientist to contribute to process development and technology transfer projects within Operations Group.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology Engineering, or a related field.
  • A newly qualified Ph.D. or equivalent practical experience in a relevant technical area, gained either in an academic or industrial setting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent practical laboratory skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the planning of process development and technology transfer projects by providing resource estimates and project schedules.
  • Execute and complete assigned experimental work both in-house and in collaboration with external partners, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Analyse experimental data, interpret results, and assess their impact on ongoing process development.
  • Collaborate as part of multidisciplinary teams across various areas within the Operations Group.

The Process Development Scientist will have the following skills:

  • Proven hands-on experience with mammalian and/or microbial cell culture techniques; knowledge of fermentation principles is a plus.
  • Familiarity with scale-up processes and an understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) procedures is highly advantageous.
  • A strong desire to learn, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration across all levels of the organization.
