Our client is a leading provider of innovative surgical instruments and therapeutic solutions to the global podiatry market. They are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Executive to join the team.

You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with key stakeholders and driving sales growth in the UK both to the NHS and private sectors.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential customers, market trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve sales targets and expand market presence.
  • Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities with hospitals, clinics, healthcare facilities, distributors, and other potential clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and partners within the medical and healthcare industry.
  • Present and demonstrate our solutions to potential clients, highlighting unique features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements with clients and distribution partners to close deals that align with company goals and profitability.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities, forecasts, and market feedback to senior management.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulations, and advancements in medical hardware technology.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance brand visibility and build professional networks.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the medical device, healthcare, or medical hardware industry.
  • Strong understanding of the medical hardware market, including products, technologies, and regulations.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets and developing new business opportunities.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport with clients.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • The role will require a large amount of (mainly UK based) travel and as such, being comfortable driving to customer sites across the territory is essential.
  • A background in podiatry is not essential, but would be an advantage.
