We have an exciting new opportunity for an experience CNC Milling Machine Operator to join a small team based in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, LE13.
The role will involve operating and setting the milling machines. While programming experience would be advantageous training for the programming will be available to someone with good operating and setting experience who is keen to grow in their role.
The machines used are Haas VMCs, so experience operating these machine is essential.
90% of your time will be spent operating, setting and programming milling machines, however occasionally you will be using lathes (manual & 2 axis CNC).
Days/Hours of Work
Monday to Thursday 07:00am 16:00pm
Friday 07:00am 12:00pm
39 Hours per week
Rates of Pay:
£15.00 - £18.00 Per Hour with Overtime available.
**Please not this role is paid weekly**
The Job Role:
Operating and setting Haas VMC machines.
Programming machines (training provided if needed)
Some operation of lathes (manual & 2 axis CNC) when required.
Reading drawing and ensuring accurate settings on machines.
Quality checking finished products
Troubleshooting issues throughout the production process.
Ensuring a clean and safe working area
Requirements:
Experience working with Haas VMCs is highly beneficial
Must be able to work on manual/Seni CNC machines.
G&M code knowledge is desirable, however training can be provided for the right candidate.
A level 3 of above in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is desirable or completed an apprenticeship.
Able to work with a variety of materials.
Must be able to work independently as well as able to deal directly with customers.
A good work ethic and commitment to the role.
Due to location, if you are not local you will need your own transport.
