Company Overview - Project Manager (Fire Systems)

A well-established, specialist fire systems company based in the East Midlands is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and deliver a range of high-value projects across the UK.

This role involves managing installations from initial client contact through to successful completion and handover. It’s an excellent opportunity for a technically competent and proactive individual to take ownership of large-scale projects within a growing and supportive team.

Project Manager (Fire Systems) Role and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the delivery of fire system projects ranging in value from £200,000 to £800,000
  • Manage 1-2 active projects at any given time, ensuring high standards and efficiency
  • Lead projects from initial client engagement through to final commissioning and handover
  • Supervise and coordinate on-site engineers to ensure works are completed on schedule and within budget
  • Ensure smooth communication between internal teams, clients, and third-party contractors
  • Travel nationally to project sites - typically two days per week - with the remainder of the week split between office and home working
  • Manage projects involving a wide range of fire systems including: Fire Suppression, Fire Protection & Fire Detection
  • Work across varied site types such as: Industrial Premises, Quarries, Waste Management Sites, Docks & so on
  • Take full ownership of project delivery, ensuring compliance with health & safety standards and relevant regulations
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders and produce progress reports where required

Project Manager (Fire Systems) Skills & Experience:

  • You will need to have a strong mechanical and electrical background, along with proven project management experience within the fire systems industry
  • Full UK driving licence or equivalent
  • Ability to lead and motivate on-site teams
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills
  • Highly organised, with a proactive approach to project delivery
  • Flexibility to travel nationally as required
