We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team at a SEN school in Melton Mowbray. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting students in their learning and development.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students across a range of subjects, providing support in both small group and one-to-one settings. Your role will be key to ensuring that students have the resources, guidance, and encouragement they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in the delivery of lessons, ensuring students are engaged and on task.
- Provide tailored support for students with additional learning needs.
- Build positive relationships with students, promoting their personal, social, and academic development.
- Help create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers.
- Support students during independent tasks, helping them to develop confidence and skills.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with young people.
- Patient, empathetic, and approachable.
- Passionate about education and supporting students in their learning journey.
- Previous experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting, is desirable but not essential.
- A proactive approach to supporting both students and staff.
