Our client, a leading manufacturing organisation in the Melton Mowbray area, is currently seeking a Skilled Production Operative to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable company in the manufacturing industry.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in a factory or warehouse environment as machine operator or similar.
  • Forklift Truck licence would be a nice to have but not crucial.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work collaboratively with up colleagues.
  • Able to accurately record data and use a computer.
  • Positive, can-do attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate machinery on their line in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure comprehensive records and logs are maintained and effective shift handovers are carried out.
  • Conduct regular quality checks to ensure we are producing first class products.
  • Identification and resolution of basic faults in processes or machines in your area
  • Report and escalate any concerns and issues.
  • Follow strict Health and Safety protocols to ensure safety to you and those around you.

Requirements:

  • GCSE level in English and Maths at Grade C or above or equivalent
  • Good team player with a flexible approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to learn PC based systems
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
