About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our partnered vibrant primary school in Melton Mowbray. The successful candidate will work across both Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2), providing essential support to our class teachers and ensuring that all students have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
This is a full-time, permanent position. You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of engaging lessons, working with small groups and on a 1:1 basis with students who require additional support, and assisting with both academic and pastoral care. Your contribution will be vital in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for all pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide in-class support for KS1 and KS2 students, assisting with their academic, social, and emotional development.
Work closely with teachers to deliver tailored learning plans for individual students or small groups.
Support the classroom teacher in managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive learning atmosphere.
Assist with the preparation and delivery of lessons and resources.
Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and areas for development.
Contribute to the wider school community, including supporting extracurricular activities where required.
Essential Criteria:
Previous experience working in a UK primary school is essential. Applications from candidates without this experience will not be considered.
Experience working with children in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
A current DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one, is essential.
Passion for working with children and supporting their individual needs.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team player.
A positive, proactive attitude and a commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
