Depot Manager

Location: Melton Mowbray Salary: £55,000.00 - £60,000 + car + bonus + benefitsSummary: Our client is seeking a commercially driven logistics professional to join their fast-paced business and manage 2 sites that have a strong customer centric culture and a multi-skilled, unionised work force. Taking responsibility for a specific set of contracts within this compliance-led environment, you will ensure that operational efficiencies meet clients' stringent expectations and that all financial targets and KPIs are met. An extensive understanding of the waste industry and relevant laws are required, along with a CPC and COTC qualification. A good knowledge of H&S including an IOSH certificate or equivalent is also preferred. A strong financial acumen and profit and loss experience are also called for.Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all budgets and targets are achieved and KPIs are met.
• Monitor, manage and co-ordinate all depot-based resources at 2 sites
• Lead and develop staff.
• Manage a sizeable, unionised workforce.
• Manage the profit and loss of the contracts.
• Deliver first class customer service and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee Health and Safety compliance
• Lead organisational change, optimise operations and improve workforce performance.

Experience:

• Extensive Operations Management experience from services or logistics
• Extensive understanding of the waste industry and relevant laws
• CPC and COTC qualifications
• Good knowledge of Health and Safety
• Able to manage multiskilled and unionised work forces
• Commercially driven with strong financial acumen and profit and loss experience
