ROLE: Procurement Manager

SALARY: Up to £55,000 DOE

LOCATION: Melton Mowbray (office based)

THE COMPANY: We are currently working with a leading Manufacturer, based in Melton Mowbray, who are looking to recruit an experienced Procurement Manager to lead their team.

THE CANDIDATE: The right candidate will have a strong background of leading the procurement function, ideally within a manufacturing environment, sourcing raw materials.

Experience with high-volume stock and spend is a must, due to the fast-paced nature of the business.

Strong Excel skills and experience of process improvement is also required.

DUTIES:

  • Reporting directly to the Finance Director.
  • Managing a team of 4 within the procurement team.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains.
  • Managing and monitoring supply chain issues.
  • Working closely with suppliers of raw materials; negotiating terms and quantities, dependent on the needs of the business.
  • Working closely with the inventory team to manage stock levels.
  • Conducting market research to stay informed about industry trends, material availability, and price fluctuations.
  • Ensuring that all procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including environmental and safety regulations.
