We are currently engaged with an East Midlands based organisation to recruit a Transport Manager to oversee the daily management of a dynamic transport operation. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will take responsibility for leading the transport team and ensuring all deliveries run smoothly including vehicle maintenance schedules, driver wellbeing, and ensuring the operation remains compliant with all relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee all aspects of the transport operation, ensuring legal and safety compliance.
• Lead and manage the transport team, ensuring operational efficiency and effective delivery schedules.
• Monitor and report on transport metrics, including Health & Safety and KPI tracking.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to increase vehicle utilisation and service efficiency.
Person Specification:
• National CPC Holder with extensive experience in HGV and van compliance.
• Strong background in Health & Safety management and understanding of transport logistics.
• Proven experience as a Transport Manager, ideally within home delivery operations.
• Exceptional organisational skills, highly motivated, and results driven.
