We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Drama Teacher to join one of our well-reputed schools in Melton Mowbray, on a permanent basis. The role will commence after October half-term until the end of the academic year, supporting with GCSE Drama course work and shows. Key Responsibilities:* Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the Drama teaching staff, fostering their professional development.* Enhance and implement a high-quality Drama curriculum that promotes creativity and academic excellence.* Ensure that teaching methods are grounded in current, research-based practices to improve student outcomes.* Equip students for academic success while cultivating a lifelong passion for Drama beyond the scope of exams.* Take responsibility for improving pupil achievement within the department, actively tracking and supporting progress.* Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in Drama education to continuously improve the department.* Play an active role in the middle-leaders team, contributing to the school's broader development and leadership initiatives.* Offer a diverse and inclusive extra-curricular Drama program that engages all students.What We're Looking For:* An experienced leader with track record of student success.* A passionate teacher with strong understanding of Drama curriculum.* Experience in leading school performances.
