Welder Fabricator

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our clientsteam. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for working with metal. This role involves fabricating and welding components to create high-quality products that meet our specifications. You will be working with various materials, including sheet metal, and utilising both hand and power tools to complete your tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Perform stick welding and other welding techniques to join metal parts securely.
• Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal pieces.
• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and resolve any fabrication issues that arise.
• Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations necessary for fabrication tasks.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in welding, particularly with stick welding techniques.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
• Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes is highly desirable.
• Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools related to metalworking.
• Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations in fabrication tasks.
• A strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
