One of the UK’s most established market leading testing firms based near the historic city of Bangor, Gwynedd has an opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join their team on a Temporary basis. Established over forty years ago our client has a fantastic reputation and prides itself on providing a quality service to its customers.  

In this full time, temporary role for approximately 3-6 months you will be part of an experienced, friendly team providing financial assistance in a role with the following responsibilities: 

  • Main point of contact for all staff in relation to day-to-day finance matters, including purchase ledger queries, finance data entry, and support
  • Managing the purchase ledger by processing purchase orders, invoices, and expense claims using SAGE 50.
  • Reconciling petty cash and bank accounts to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Supporting ongoing projects and assisting with implementing system improvements, such as SAGE Auto Entry and BACS payments.

We would love to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:

  • Previous finance administration experience
  • Proficiency in computer systems; experience with SAGE 50 or similar is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  •  Adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Strong organisational skills and a professional telephone manner
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal
  • Good level of proficiency with Word, Excel, Spreadsheets and Databases
  • The ability to converse in Welsh is highly desirable but not essential  
  • Full driving license and own vehicle is an advantage due to the location
  • Happy to work in a very dynamic office environment

This is a full-time temporary role, working Monday to Friday (40 hours per week) 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, on an hourly rate of £14 plus holidays.
