Role:Workshop Chargehand

Location: Merthyr, CF48 4DR

Hours: 45 hours per week | between 07:00 and 16:30 Monday to Friday

Salary: up to £45,137.11 pa DOE

Are you ready to take on a leadership role in a dynamic workshop environment? Were looking for a dedicated Workshop Chargehand to oversee our workshop personnel and equipment, ensuring top-notch service and compliance with company standards. As the primary contact for both internal and external customers, youll play a crucial role in maintaining high levels of health and safety management.

In this role, youll be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining our products and other manufacturers vehicles, preparing them for HGV MOTs, and managing all related documentation. Youll lead the workshop team, plan and execute jobs effectively, and ensure customer satisfaction through excellent communication and relationship management.

Qualifications that set you apart include:

  • Time served experience in maintenance and repair of RCVs or similar equipment in a workshop environment or as an onsite engineer.
  • Workshop maintenance and planning experience.
  • Ability to compile and organise associated workshop paperwork.
  • Comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation, ISO9001 and ISO14001 procedures, with a proactive approach to enhancing product knowledge and personal skills.
