We are working with a Housing Association based in South Wales, who are recruiting for a HR Advisor on a 6-month fixed term contract.

They are looking for an accomplished generalist HR Advisor, CIPD L5 qualified or above, who is confident in delivering advice and support in a variety of areas, including employee relations, recruitment and L&D.

They operate a 4 day p/week working pattern, with two days home working, and can pay up to £33,655.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Resolving complex employee relations issues, guiding line managers and liaising with Trade Union representatives as required
  • Coordinating all recruitment and selection activities, ensuring procedures are managed effectively from designing the job advert, through to on boarding
  • Leading on key HR projects and developments as requested by the People Manager, suggesting improvements to the HR function
  • Working with Line Managers to pro-actively manage sickness absences
  • Supporting with L&D and training activity
  • Advising on employment laws and best practices

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • CIPD L5 qualified
  • Strong understanding and demonstrable experience in employment law and HR related activities
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with a wide range of people in various settings

Working hours:

  • 30 Hours/week
  • Operating as a 4-day working week, 100% pay for 80% time
