The Assembly Technician position is available at a leading aerospace and defense company for a fixed term of 24-30 months in Merthyr Tydfil.
The salary offered ranges from £33,250 to £34,250 per year, with a work schedule of 37.5 hours a week and Fridays off.
Candidates must have proven experience in vehicle assembly, particularly with heavy or large vehicles, and a strong mechanical background.
The role involves mechanical and electrical assembly of armored vehicles, working from engineering drawings, and performing quality testing.
Applicants must be able to obtain SC clearance and complete four weeks of training in Ampthill.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN TO JOIN A LEADING AEROSPACE AND DEFENCE COMPANY ON A 24-28 MONTH FTC

On-site in Merthyr Tydfil
£33,250 to £34,250 per year
24-30 Fixed Term Contract
37.5 hours a week
Fridays Off
Ability to obtain SC clearance is essential

WHAT WILL THE ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN BE DOING?

You will be joining a team working the Mechanical and Electrical assembly of Armoured Vehicles. You'll be using a variety of hand and air tools along with Jigs, fixtures and measuring tools on precision assemblies. Other responsibilities will include:

Assembly and integration of complex systems
Working from drawings and engineering instruction
Performing quality and performance testing
Other production tasks on high value hardware

WE NEED THE ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN TO HAVE…

Proven experience as a Vehicle Assembly Technician, Armoured Vehicle Technician / Aircraft Assembly Technician, Mechanical Fitter or similar role.
Heavy/Large vehicle assembly experience
Strong mechanical bias
Ability to work Monday to Thursday at Merthyr Tydfil
Complete 4 week's training in Ampthill
