Finance Officer

Salary: £26,278 per annum + benefits

The Role
The Group is looking for a motivated and pro-active individual to be part of a team of staff assisting in the delivery of a full range of finance department activities.
As Finance Officer you will be working within a team responsible for day to day administrative tasks within their finance systems, daily checking of purchase orders, sales ledger, purchase ledger and cashier tasks.
You will also manage the finance and procurement mailbox, responding and resolving queries and support with the annual audit of the Group’s financial statements and all general aspects of activities undertaken by the Finance Team.
This role provides a great opportunity for someone to start their career in the financial sector, developing a range of skills and working with a variety of different customers both internal and external to the organisation.
Skills and Qualifications
- Ideally you will have some experience in a similar type of roles either in finance, or business administration and/or a similar environment within the education sector.
- You will possess English and Maths at level 2 or above (equivalent to GCSE A-C/4-9) and have well-developed IT skills.
- You will be able to work in an organised and methodical manner, with a high degree of confidentiality, integrity and flexibility.
Department Info
You will report to the Ledger Supervisor but work closely and take instruction on a day to day basis from other members of the team.
