The cleaner will provide direct support to the unit to meet the departmental requirements, specifically by making sure the environment is kept clear, tidy, and appropriately maintained.Main Duties of the Cleaner:

  • Undertaking general cleaning duties of public, office and departmental areas, including tasks such as; vacuuming, general surface maintenance, sweeping and mopping, cleaning internal glass, cleaning toilets to include use of specialist equipment.
  • Removal of waste, following group waste and recycling procedures.
  • Undertaking deep clean processes/sanitising duties as directed.
  • Use cleaning products/materials in accordance with training and instructions.
  • Offer input with stock flow coordination.
  • Use tools and equipment as trained, informing the wider Estates team of any faults. Reporting of health and safety/security issues.
  • Follow organisational health and safety guidance to ensure all tasks are completed safely and effectively.
  • Undertake training within the role scope and educational setting.
  • Maintain excellent customer service, timekeeping and attendance.

Role Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a cleaning role
  • Previous experience using a range of cleaning equipment
  • A knowledge of the safe usage of cleaning chemicals
  • Ideally, you would hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate
