The successful candidate will undertake general cleaning duties to ensure that our sites are a clean, welcoming safe environment for our learners, employees and visitors.
Duties include general cleaning operations, multi-surface cleaning, use of cleaning machines as trained and directed, ensuring bulldings are ready for use each day whilst Incorporating safe usage of cleaning products and equipment, actively informing the wider Estates Team of any faults which could pose an issue for health and safety in order to ensure that these are reported and resolved. Seasonal/ad-hoc undertaking of deep clean processes/sanitising duties as directed, all cleaning products/materials utilised in accordance with training and instruction.
Employment will be through Rotherham Education ServicesThe hours will be: 6:00am - 16:00pm, Monday - Friday
Main Duties:• Undertaking general cleaning duties of public, office and departmental areas, Including tasks such as; vacuuming, general surface maintenance, sweeping and mopping, cleaning internal glass, cleaning toilets to include use of specialist equipment.• Removal of waste, following group waste and recycling procedures.• Undertaking deep clean processes/sanitising duties as directed.• Use cleaning products/materials in accordance with training and instructions.• Ability to promptly respond and coordinate campus Janitorial requests.• Offer input with stock flow coordination.• Use tools and equipment as trained, informing the wider Estates team of any faults.• Reporting of health and safety/security issues.• Follow organisational health and safety guidance to ensure all tasks are completed safely and effectively.• Undertake training within the role scope and educational setting.• Ability to work on your own initiative whilst maintaining Campus cleanliness standards and best practice.• Maintain excellent customer service, timekeeping and attendance.• Routine use of radio and phone communication methods and IT systems.
You will need reasonable cleaning experience, ideally in an office environment and this will need to include using a range of cleaner equipment and substances. You must hold or be willing to work towards L2 English and Maths (GCSE A-C/4-9 or equivalent) and Emergency First Aid at Work.
You'll be highly flexible and able to respond to quick changes in demands upon you Including responding to urgent jobs and supporting colleagues across the Estates/Facilities team.
