As a Customer Service Manager you will be the point of contact between customers and the sales & production teams. You will line manage the customer service team of 4 who process orders, create quotations and estimations, manage lead times and process export paperwork. As a Customer Service Manager it will be your responsibility to build strong relationships with the internal teams to ensure a smooth customer journey, acting as a key link between internal customer purchasing and the manufacturing site to support demand and capacity planning.
Customer Service Manager duties:
- Enhance customer experience, foster engagement, and drive organic growth.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, managing projects from quotation to delivery.
- Take ownership of customer issues, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Lead project management for key sales orders with strategic customers, including organising and chairing regular progress meetings.
- Collaborate with the planning department to monitor production progress.
- Provide commercial support to customers, distributors, and agents for new applications or improvement requests.
- Establish and track KPIs to measure and enhance performance, focusing on response times, customer complaints, and on-time delivery (OTD).
- Ensure compliance with export and trade regulations by managing license requests for controlled parts.
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate your experience within line management/ supervisory & development, you will have experience working within a manufacturing environment.
