We are recruiting a Print Services Operator to join our clients production team at their site in the Dearne Valley, Rotherham.

Description

Your role will be to supply our production team with ink, printing and cutting dies prior to their use, and then return to the storage areas in the correct positions and in good working order. We have a strong health and safety culture, and therefore you will be accountable for you and your colleagues to create a safe working environment. Working as part of a team, you will play a vital role in assisting with our productivity targets and achieving the quality standards on all work produced to our "just in time" deadlines, following the BRCGS accreditation.

Reporting to the Team Leader of the department, your main responsibilities of the role will be to:

  • Provide printing inks, printing dies and cutting dies to the machine site prior to the start of production.
  • Transporting barrels to ensure there is a continuous supply.
  • Ensuring that stock levels are kept up to date, the press returns are stored in their allocated place, are rotated, and re-worked inks are suitable for issue to Production.
  • Keeping the system up to date with the movement of tooling and its supply to the machine.
  • Ensuring that press returns are re-useable prior to their return into stock.
  • Keeping a clean and tidy working area whilst maintaining quality.

Profile

The successful candidate will ideally have experience of working in a manufacturing/production environment. You will be able to follow procedures, have a meticulous eye for detail, are accurate and numerate with good communication skills. You will be a team player, be proactive and enthusiastic to learn new skills especially to learn and use our IT systems.

Job Offer

  • Starting salary £25,387 during probationary period, rising to £26,657 per annum after 6 months.
  • Current shift pattern is the 3-shift rota, over 5 days, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week which includes a paid half an hour lunch break.
  • Generous production bonus paid monthly or yearly after the probation period (£3.5k in 2023).
