Role Overview:We are seeking a compassionate and experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working in similar environments and will be adept at managing challenging behaviour in a calm and effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering tailored educational programs.
  • Assist in managing classroom behaviour and implementing behaviour management strategies.
  • Provide one-on-one support to pupils with SEMH needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs).

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in an SEMH setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEMH needs and strategies to support pupils.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
