Elevation Recruitment have the pleasure of working with a Manufacturer, based in the Mexborough area. This well-established company are looking for Electrical Maintenance Engineers to join their team due to company growth!

Salary: £44,000 - £47,000

Location: Mexborough, south Yorkshire

Shifts: 4 on 4 off rotating pattern (2 days, 2 nights in each block of shifts)

Duties of this position:

  • Carry out routine scheduled PPM’s and respond promptly to equipment faults/breakdowns. Completing paperwork per task
  • Diagnose breakdown problems and use Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to rectify them
  • Where necessary, fit new parts and ensure equipment is working correctly
  • Complete quality inspections on jobs
  • Correct use of engineering stores, ensuring all parts are booked out against the relevant assets/jobs
  • Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs, as well as supporting installations
  • Recognise opportunities to improve health and safety policies, practices and procedures and put forward suggestions
  • Work with specialist equipment, such as programmable logic controllers (PLC), servos, which control the production equipment.
  • Follow all site procedures, (safety, engineering, hygiene, technical)
  • Conduct duties with a Continuous Improvement mindset
  • Perform assigned preventive maintenance tasks.

Desired Experience:

  • Level 3 (city & guilds or NVQ based) or above in Electrical Maintenance
  • Ideally have experience within Mechanical Maintenance also
  • 5 GCSE’s or equivalent- must include Maths and English
  • Ideally have a Level 2 food safety qualification or above
  • Good knowledge and understanding of health and safety
  • Previous experience of working with specialist equipment, such as programmable logic controllers (PLC), servos, which control the production equipment.
  • FMCG experience
