Electrical Shift Engineer

As a Shift Engineer you will ensure continuous running of the production machines by minimising down time during day-to-day operations, PPM's fault finding and repair.

Description

• Maintain plant and equipment according to manufacturer's instructions.
• Identify spare parts to effect repairs using machine manufacturer's manuals and order through stores.
• Maintain electrical standards and record in accordance with ISO standards
• Follow up on outstanding issues to a successful conclusion.
• Maintain and improve plant efficiency through planned PPMs of production machines.
• Carryout weekly detailed inspections maintain log and defect report sheets.
• Complete detailed daily logbook reports.
• Report any dangerous occurrences or unsafe machine conditions.
• Carry out SUSA discussions and monthly internal safety audits.
• Undergo training as required by the needs of the business.
• Any other duties within the limits of the skills and capabilities of the post holder.

Profile

As a Electrical Shift Engineer you will require to have with a minimum of HND in one engineering discipline, either electrical or mechanical.

Experience on working on the below Equipment / Kit:

• Balers
• Boilers
• Water treatment
• Corrugator
• Conversion machine
• Strappers
• Wrappers
• Palletisers
• Conveyors

Working on:

• Mechanics: PPMs, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, gearbox's, bearings, belts, chains, basic machining
• Electrics: PPMs, PLCs (Allen Bradley SLC500 to compact/control logix, Siemens s5 and logo to Tia portal 1200/1500, B&R), inverters/drives, AC / DC Motors.

Job Offer

• Salary of £46,716
• Current shift pattern is a 12 hours shift working across days and night, on a 36 hour working week.
