Elevation Recruitment Group are exclusively recruiting for a leading manufacturing site based in Rotherham, who are recruiting for an Electrical & Industrial Control Duty Engineer.As the Electrical & Industrial Control Duty Engineer you will be responsible for designing, developing, installing, managing, and maintaining equipment which is used to monitor and control engineering systems, machinery, and processes, ensuring that these systems and processes operate effectively, efficiently, and safely. Tasks and responsibilities will include designing and developing new systems, testing, maintaining, and modifying existing systems, analysing data, presenting findings in written reports, managing operations.

This includes hardware and software across all areas of the site.

A fundamental requirement of the role is inspections through preventive/predictive maintenance, technical databases, for example, bill of materials, work order history, and standard job plans.

To be considered for the Electrical & Industrial Control Duty Engineer role you will need:

  • Qualified Engineer with NVQ L3 or higher
  • Previous PLC programming Knowledge (Ladder Based Mitsubishi/Allen Bradley) – Required
  • Understanding of industrial networking (Cisco Via GUI or CLI)
  • A self-motivated driven individual with a clear attention to detail which delivers high standards throughout
  • High level of attention and concentration in the development of tasks under pressure
  • Develops appropriate communication strategies for the achievement of defined objectives
  • Ability to work cross functionally to deliver the required organizational results, whether as part of a project team or individually
  • Comfortable working with external suppliers to both procure effectively and ensure maintenance systems are aligned to the OEM recommendations
  • There will be a requirement to be available outside regular business hours to address production problems, perform maintenance, and provide ongoing support
  • Ensure legal compliance to Company H&S and any pertaining regulations and or Law
  • Organize and plan for equipment outages to minimize disruption
