Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with an innovative food manufacturer going through an exciting period of growth to recruit a Hygiene Manager to be based at their Rotherham facility.

Salary: upto £60k

The Hygiene Manager will maintain the cleanliness of all production areas to a high standard whilst supporting and leading a team of Hygiene Operatives.

Duties of the Hygiene Controller will include:

  • Ensure that hygiene operations are carried out in such a manner to ensure that physical and/or chemical contamination does not occur
  • Recognise potential contamination issues ensuring early action is taken
  • Ensure Operatives within your team are fully trained to complete all hygiene-related tasks
  • Monitor and maintain the Plant Cleaning Planning Schedule (deep cleans and daily cleans), maximising downtime
  • Ensure all SOPs and Risk Assessments are kept up to date and readily available
  • Ensure that all waste is disposed of in an eco-friendly manner and through defined operating procedures
  • Ensure cleaning materials, including chemicals and PPE are always available
  • Responsible for ensuring that all Hygiene equipment is signed in/out and kept in a fit for purpose state

We would be keen to speak with Hygiene Managers with the following experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role within food manufacturing is essential 
  • Good knowledge of Food Safety & Hygiene standards
  • Effective communication skills
  • Highly organised and comfortable in a highly pressurised environment
